Vice President - Finance
As Vice President of Finance, Alvin Pritchard has financial oversight of Journal Broadcast Group-owned and operated television and radio stations in all of its markets and serves as a key strategic partner to the broadcast leadership team. He is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis, with a key role in setting and achieving Journal Broadcast Group’s strategic and operational direction.
Pritchard joined Journal Broadcast Group in 2013 from NBC Universal, where he served as Vice President of Finance for NBC’s television duopoly in Chicago, the country’s #3 TV market, including WMAQ-TV (NBC) and WSNS-TV (Telemundo Chicago), for nine years. He was a member of the NBC Chicago executive staff and led the finance team in support of critical projects such as evaluation of original broadcast and digital content, large scale capital projects including HD, studio utilization and evaluation of partnership agreements. Prior to NBC, Pritchard held positions of increasing responsibility within GE’s finance organization, including Commercial Finance Manager for GE Healthcare - Diagnostic Imaging division, as well as Manager of GE Healthcare’s Internal Audit staff.
Pritchard holds a B.A. in psychology and business from Wake Forest University, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He also is a graduate of GE’s Experience Financial Leadership Program (EFLP), and is a Six-Sigma Black Belt.
