KMTV Receives Six Awards from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association

Omaha, Neb. — KMTV Action 3 News has been honored with six Nebraska Broadcasters Association Awards, including two for Best Public Service Announcements.
 
The awards are:
 
Best Public Service Announcement [Gold] “Pothole Patrol 2010” (Dan Astuto) 
Best Public Service Announcement [Silver] “Activate Omaha” (Andrew Torkelson)
Best In-Depth or Investigative News Story [Bronze] “Newborn Privacy Problems” (Dave Roberts)
Best Commercial [Bronze] “Bank of Nebraska-Building a Business” (Jess Purviance)
Best Promo [Bronze] “KMTV School Closings” (Willie Garrett)
Best Station Website [Silver] www.action3news.com

The CBS-affiliated KMTV-TV is part of a cluster in the Omaha market owned by Journal Broadcast Group that includes radio stations Star 104.5 (KSRZ-FM), Z-92 (KEZO-FM), Channel 94.1 (KQCH-FM), CD105.9 (KKCD-FM) and Big Sports 590 (KXSP-AM).
