Journal Broadcast Group Tucson Operations “Stuff the Bus” for Haitian Relief

Tucson, Ariz. — In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti that left almost 2 million people homeless, the Journal Broadcast Group’s Tucson Operations, in conjunction with Brake Masters and Sun Tran, are holding a special “Stuff the Bus” collection of relief supplies.

Newscasters and on-air personalities from KGUN 9 On Your Side, KWBA-TV, 94.9MIXfm, 104.1 The Truth, Mega 106.3/104.9 and ESPN Radio 1490 The Fan will be broadcasting all day Friday from Brake Masters, 7085 E. 22nd St., to encourage viewers and listeners to fill a Sun Tran bus with over-the-counter medications, emergency first aid items and hygienic supplies. (Go to www.kgun9.com for a full list items.) The bus will be delivered to World Care, the Tucson-based non-profit humanitarian organization that will deliver the collected items to Haiti.

“With so many different TV and radio properties, we can get the word out to so many of our generous viewers and listeners. It’s the least we can do to help Haiti recover from this horrible disaster,” said Julie Brinks, Journal Broadcast Group Tucson Operations vice president and general manager.
