Boise, Idaho — KIVI-TV Today’s 6 has been honored by the Idaho State Broadcasters Association with six awards including Best Local Newscast and Best Weather Segment. The awards were presented Saturday.

“We consider the Best Newscast award from the ISBA one of the highest honors we can receive because the recognition comes from our broadcast peers here in Idaho,” said Scott Picken, news director for KIVI-TV Today’s 6 News.
This marks the third consecutive year in which the station has been awarded Best Newscast by the ISBA and the second year for the Best Weather Segment honor.
The awards come on the heels of KIVI-TV Today’s 6 News being honored in June by the Northwest Region of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with two Emmy Awards for Program Achievement. KIVI-TV “Today’s 6 News Live at 10:00” was named best newscast in the five-state northwest region for evening newscasts, and KIVI-TV “Today’s 6 News Good Morning Live” was recognized as the best morning newscast in the same region.
