Thousands Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Radio Lobo

Wichita, Kan. — Wichita’s leading Hispanic radio station, KYQQ-FM Radio Lobo, held its 5th Annual Cinco de Mayo celebration at Sedgwick County Zoo on Sunday, May 4.

More than 7,500 visitors turned out. The event featured live entertainment from Calibre Pesado, Paraiso De Durango and Andariego; authentic Mexican food; and  family-friendly activities throughout the day.

“This was the biggest Cinco event that we have had to date,” said Radio Lobo Program Director Arnoldo Gonzalez. “Radio Lobo takes pride in being the leading Hispanic radio station in the Wichita metro area and has had great success with the family focused Cinco de Mayo celebration at the zoo.”

Plans already are underway for an even bigger Cinco de May event in 2009.
